Head for the Hills
It’s time to bring you up the mountains. Let SBB once again bring you to the two charming resorts of Grindelwald & Wengen. Both Grindelwald & Wengen encircle the Eiger glacier and reside in the Jungfrau massif. This means both resorts provide a truly remarkable snow-record year in year out.
Grindelwald – Winter is a Dream for Stylish Explorers.
Grindelwald, accessed directly with it’s own railway station in the heart of town. You can drive here if you would rather a transfer or hire car. Our recommendation is to arrive by rail for the impressive views. Grindelwald is the larger of the two towns when compared with Wengen. With the size you have more choice for hotels, apartments and chalets. The shorter stays are welcomed throughout the resort and very popular outside of high season.
Start your day with flaky croissants and fresh bread from local bakeries like Ringgenberg and Bäckerei-Café Wyss. Stroll through boutique shops offering Swiss watches, alpine fashion, and handmade gifts. Discover cosy bars serving craft cocktails and mulled wine with mountain views. For walkers, scenic trails like the Eiger Trail and Panoramaweg offer crisp air and jaw-dropping vistas. From chocolate shops to gear stores, Grindelwald blends luxury, adventure, and charm in every snowy corner.
